Mikkeller Chengdu - Pop Up

Mikkeller x MEDISN’s pop-up bar in China’s hipster capital, Chengdu, is located in the vibrant Niushikou neighborhood among stylish barbershops, hardware stores and locals playing chess at the outdoor tables. The neighborhood is calm and authentic, with proximity to the city’s nightlife and entertainment scene just across the river Jinjiang.

It’s also a culinary hub. We are in Sichuan after all. With cocktail bars, noodle joints (check out Uncle Li’s) and now craft beer. From November 21th and until spring, Mikkeller will operate 24 taps in a bar connected to a larger office space and an experimental venue operated by MEDISN, a creative venture that brings together brand strategy, architectural design, exhibitions and events, while operating some of China’s coolest venues. 

The room, an extension of MEDISN’s design studio, is a visual gem in itself, mixing industrial steel structures with more natural wooden details. The perfect palace for a cold one.
