Employee Wellbeing

Mikkeller works continuously to promote and strengthen a safe, inclusive, and respectful working culture. This includes global company policies as well as global employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to help ensure healthy workplaces and identify potential issues related to employee wellbeing at an early stage.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Mikkeller is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. Our DEI policy outlines our approach to ensuring equal opportunities, zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment, and clear procedures for addressing concerns and reported incidents. This is part of our ongoing effort to create a safe and supportive environment for all employees.

Ask for Nomi

Customer Safety
Ask for Nomi

Ask for Nomi, also known as 'Ask for Angela', is a safety initiative originally launched in the UK in 2016. The codeword and accompanying information are implemented across all Mikkeller locations. If a guest asks staff for "Nomi", it discreetly signals that they feel unsafe or need assistance. Staff will then help the guest to a safe space, assist with contacting friends, or arrange transport to leave the location. This initiative also serves as a clear statement that Mikkeller does not tolerate harassment, abuse, or discrimination of any kind.

Kenya School Project

Kenya School Project

Mikkeller is partnering with the Kenyan NGO KenSwed to support their Mobile Schools (M-school) project, an innovative initiative providing free vocational education and entrepreneurship training to marginalized youth in Kenya. The mobile schools operate temporarily in rented community buildings in smaller villages, where local learning hubs are set up with Wi-Fi, solar-powered tablets, and study facilities. This setup allows students to gain practical skills, digital literacy, and knowledge that create new opportunities for themselves, their families, and their communities. The project aims to create long-term, sustainable opportunities rather than short-term aid.

Mikkeller Running Club

Mikkeller Running Club

Founded in Copenhagen in 2014, the Mikkeller Running Club (MRC) has grown into a global community with more than 100 chapters worldwide. MRC brings people together through running, socializing, and shared experiences, fostering community, friendship, and inclusion both during and after runs. The running club is open to people of all backgrounds and running levels. Participation simply requires showing up — everyone is welcome. To ensure the running club remains a welcoming and safe space for everyone, Mikkeller has formulated a set of Community guidelines [link placeholder] to be followed.
